How to Style Your Home for Winter
Whether you’re ready or not, winter is on its way! This year has FLOWN by, and it’s time to start thinking about how to transition your home for the cold. Whether you like to embrace the frigid weather, or choose to hibernate, here are some things to keep your home looking chic this winter!
Decorating can be as simple as swapping out minor details to make it fit the season. If you have white candles, try swapping them out with forest green, or red candles instead. This will keep your home looking chic, while still having a festive feel. Colored candles paired with some garland make for the perfect table décor, making your dining room feel elegant.
More blankets or throws! Seriously… who has ever said they have too many blankets? Not only are they useful for those cold nights, but add dimension and texture to your space to make it feel cozier. Your family will be running to the living room to cuddle up with these new blankets!

Keep the garland out! Garland doesn’t have to go away with the Christmas tree, it’s such a timeless decoration. It’s also a great way to liven your space and bring some biophilia in, since most of us hide inside all winter! Some of my favorite places to put garland are on the mantel, over accent furniture (like a piano or picture frame), and you can even use it as a table runner like I mentioned before!
Want a more simplistic way to decorate? Metallics! You don’t need to go all out with red and green to make your home feel festive. This is such a chic way to style your home, while still being in Christmas spirit. This also gives you an excuse to leave decorations out longer, the greys give off the perfect moody winter vibes.
